It is so damned interesting to re-read this with a better understanding of the tarot than I had six months ago. Evangeline gives absolutely stellar advice. We should all be so lucky as to have helpers like her in our lives.
i once got into a scrap with some kids on Discord who were *horrified* when i said it was possible to do cartomancy with regular playing cards. that's right around when i gave up on social media altogether.
it was a strange moment of intergenerational conflict... "listen, sonny, back when i was young, you could get a sodapop for a nickel and the Others would use whatever communication interface you made available to them! now get off my lawn!"
i'm amazed... was pretty sure i would've lost you by now. i don't know exactly what audience i envisioned as i was writing this, but 'vaguely conservative libertarian' wouldn't have been it. you're full of surprises.
It really has been that sort of morning!
Good work on keeping what could have been dry exposition natural and grounded all the way through.
thanks! beginner's luck.

The Tom Clancy Omnibus, and The Constitution (again)?
kidding, kidding. i'm sincerely glad to have you along on this.
had no idea! like i said—full of surprises.
